Ed Small is a fourth-generation developer, contractor, entrepreneur, and real estate investor known for building projects that combine infrastructure expertise with long-term real estate value. As the founder of E Small Developing LLC, Small focuses on identifying strategic land opportunities and transforming them into high-performing commercial and industrial developments.
Raised in a family deeply rooted in the construction and development industry, Small was introduced to the business at an early age. However, rather than relying on the advantages of a family legacy, he made the deliberate decision to build his own path independently.
At just 13 years old, Small began working in the construction industry, learning the fundamentals of site work, paving, land preparation, and project operations. With a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive, he gradually began taking on small projects and building his own network of clients and partners.
By his late teenage years, Small had already begun investing in his own equipment and pursuing work opportunities independently. Starting with little more than a $1,500 truck and determination, he began laying the foundation for what would eventually grow into a diversified development and investment platform.
Over time, Small expanded his focus beyond contracting and into strategic land acquisition and development. Through disciplined reinvestment and long-term vision, he began assembling properties and developing projects designed to produce both operational income and long-term asset value.
